Hi-Tech armoured case by DJB Modding

  • Hi , I'm here with my new project Hi-Tek armoured case
Is a Thematic mod , inspired in games like Crysis 2 and MGS 4 , the main
idea is to develop a computer armoured with the technology of
    nannosuite 2 and Snake armoursuite

Let's start with the side panel design (basic)

    1002496small.jpg

I made this pieces in MDF (1/2 inch) to get the desire shape

    First the cuts

Every piece must be worked manually to get it into shape

    Example

  • Thanks Benny , Yes , it's really hard to make a good design , the nannosuite is very complex and look great , I just try to fimplify the concept y take some lines of the design

  • More pieces made in MDF , this time in 5mm of thickness

    100_2573.jpg

    Pieces glued in place

    100_2575.jpg

I worked on them to make the edges rounded

  • New updates

After a lot of fails , material and different process test`s , finally I get some good results.
Stop wood work and try something else

Real use of the wood pieces , vaccum forming

    100_2701.jpg

    cut of the single pieces

    100_2702.jpg

I choose to make the pieces one-by-one because all of the fail was trying to make entire panels , it can be done , but I don't like the quality of the results

    100_2703.jpg

Preview , I hope to get better quality in the final pieces

    100_2706.jpg

    100_2708.jpg

    100_2709.jpg

To make this pieces , I have to build my own home-made vacuum forming machine , that explain the lack of updates

  • Keep going with the vacuum forming pieces , both side panels done.
Preparing for copy the main side panel piece , the more complicated
