Oh I didnt noticed your last entry with the painted fans, they are looking good and now your mdf work is also very interesting . So the mdf case is just for the reproducing with fiberglass?

very impressive work!
Thanks to all
benny : yes and no , it suposed to be just a model , but im running out of time in a tourneament ao I will use the MDF as part of the mod.
In the next updates I will explain the concept of this mod to make things clear
Update
The model was open like an easter egg , to work on it and to put the aluminium chasis inside.
Some pictures of the cuts fot the hardware .
Mothertray window
Optical drives and HDD Rack
Wide view
Fan holes
Other point od view to show the hole for the PSU fan
Acordin to the concept of the One-unit of the mod , I will not use grills , I will made it in the main body of the mod
Front grill
Draw of the otical drives holes
Grill on top done
Front holes and grills done
PSU window + I/O panel + expansion card
I will made a toolless-like system to fix in position the optical drives , front panel and HDD Rack , holes for that
Frontal image
Holes for the cable management , very important to the functionality of the mod
Now is time to close the coffin again , but with the aluminium chasis inside
The gap that remains is because the measures was for fiberglass , not for 3mm MDF , let's work on it
Some accesories and acrylic side panel
Next the final pictures
Hi Diego, nice build, but it definitely not like an easter egg its more like kinder surprise ..man this case makes me hungry for some chocolate
.
Thank Benny !!! mmmmm , chocolate :-d
The main concept of this project was made a scratch build mod with all the basics of modding (big side window , front and bottom blowhole , rear and top fan's extracting hot air) , but introducing a new concept of build and functionality (new at least for me)
This case is a concept prototype of hibrid chassis , made of aluminium and fiberglass (aluminium and MDF in this beta version) , where there is just one modular unit , the only removable piece is the acrylic side panel and 2 fan covers (no front cover , no top cover , no side panels)
The main challenge with this proyect was the planificacion to make this functionality work , for that I include extractable pieces (HDD rack , mothertray , front control panel) , and a routing system for the cable management to make it reach all the case
This is the 3d-render that I made as a model in the beginning
Here the final pictures of the job done , I hope you like it
PD : I notice that the reaf fan is in the wrong position after the photo session , , I already turn it to the rigth position
Really nice work ! Looks exactly like the 3D-Rendering But.. please paint the dvd-rom
Yeah you really should paint the dvd drive and in my opinion there is too much red color, i miss some white stripes or something else especially at the cpu cooler and the graphiccard cover. (and i miss that pretty chocolate color
)
Thx
Too many people tell me that I must paint the dvd drive , I will think about it , but I like it white as the rest of the details of the mod.
Next step , reproduce it in fiber glass and white sleeving , the visible parts of the aluminium chassis , the dvd rack and the mothertray must be painted in white too.
I keep all the mod red without stripes and drawings because I running out of time in a tournament and I don't want the typical ' 2 white stripes dodge viper style' , I want something different.
