Thank you very much Benny , this time I try to build it from scratch , but like if I was using others materials , like aluminium , to feel less limited , starting from the chasis as a regular mod
To the backligth of the runes , I use 5mm flat top yellow leds , to get more diffused light and avoid the circles that make the regular leds.

To the projector , I use only one led (to avoid multiple shadows) , 1w yellow led.

This was the first try out of the projector

As you can see , the led has a nice power , in the last image of the gallery you can see how the runes reach the floor

RÛNÎK is my last work , is a thematic mod made for an ecological modding competition , so was build using only paper and cardboard
It represent an archaeological object that belong to an old runic culture , but at the same time has a ultra-modern technology inside , so it is being investigated , I´m a big fan of Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones

For this mod I keep using the turn-on-phases , diferent status between all off , PSU ON and CPU ON.
When the PSU is turned ON , a runic test appears through the front panel with an oscillation pattern , simulating a heart beat , like it is charging energy
When the CPU is turned on , this text stop oscillation an a runic power circle is projected in front of the mod and start to rotate , like can be seen ig games like Warcraft.
The external look pretend to be an stone emulation .

Thanks for the opinion and the advice , I made the pictures in low light conditions trying to avoid the reflections on the acrylic panels , next time I will try your method.

Hi , I`m back
This project is almost finish , just need to change the side steel grill for another custom grill made in acrylic.
Every one that see it says that looks better in real than in pictures , It seem that I'm a bad photographer

This strobe effect looks dramatically reduced when you see it through the dark smoke acrylic I redesign the ring , increment the number of leds and change the configuration.

The cover to hide the wires I made it with a plastic sheet and black vinyl , usin a papercraft style.

Yes , I still have to hide the wires and the leds , this is just a prototype.

Remember , the visual effect depends on the frequency , if the fan has a different speed some values must be recalculated.

The music is a Tool ´s song called Right in two from the album 10000 days

Recently I install an Hyper n620 cooler from Cooler Master for my CPU , but I have to reinstall the stock cooler because The N620 is too big for Obsidiana (at this moment I was using a generic atx case).
After this I start to think in a way to modify the stock cooler to make it look better.

First I use the outside ring of an old fan , and put 12 UV leds towing inside of the ring (is still a prototype)

And put a orange U.V vinyl stripes in 3 of the 9 sails of the cooler fan

I supose that you must be wondering the reason of this , or maybe thinking why did I not just paint the entire fan in that color.

And yes there is a main reason for that , the leds ring will be used as a strobe lamp to get a variety of visual effects.

This is the oscillator circuit , the varialble resistor change the frequency , allowing to change the effect that we want to see

The mod is almost finished , all the lights are blue or violet U.V. , it look so blue , so I choose orange to break the monochromatic theme and to gain more contrast.
The flames will be painted from the back with orange U.V. reactive paint , to get a more solid and bright appearance

I made A skin for the VGA to make it look better , I'm sure that you can find some little defects on the lines , free hand made with dremmel .

Yes , Flames must be one of the most recurrent themes on Modding , but I never done it before and I want to , and plus , have relation with volcanoes.

Snow is very unusual in the zone of the country where I live , the last week , we got snow in cities where never fall snow.

Three years ago , falls a lot of snow in my city (last time that fall snow in Buenos Aires was in 1918 ) , this year was not our turn , was at 300km from here

Weather is turning more crazy every year in my opinion .

Finally I decide to make legs for Obsidiana.
They are small and simple , It will not exceed the cabinet limits and will lay under the PC , so it will be barely visible.
For that I use the same stainless steel tube that I already use for the buttons and acrylic.

I make it with few details to meet the rest of the mod (some minimalist) . The fact that looks like an RC is bad or good ? 8o
I place it there to break the symmetry , I try it in the center but I don't like the way it look , unfortunately , move it implies to remade all the front panel

That´s bad , is pasted there but is not supposed to look like this , make all of the same acrylic piece is far from my skills , I hope it look better when I make the final version
